St. Cecilia Concert Society presents the Halifax Camerata Singers and Blue Engine String Quartet in a special Remembrance Day concert. Founded in 1986 by Artistic Director Jeff Joudrey, the Halifax Camerata Singers, an auditioned ensemble of dedicated singers from across Nova Scotia, is the area's leading chamber choir. Camerata has a reputation for performance excellence and presents an extensive repertoire covering all periods and styles. Last year the choir was awarded the Galaxie Rising Star Prize in the CBC’s 17th national Choral Competition. In their 11th year, the Blue Engine String Quartet is comprised of a remarkable group of talented women who are also members of Symphony Nova Scotia.
